Gameplay Guide
Everything needed to become a pro in Everdawn Champions.
In this quick guide, we'll walk you through the core gameplay and mechanics.
Overview: Everdawn Champions combines traditional trading card game mechanics with dynamic, 3D battles, where you can command units and cast powerful spells.
Getting Started: Let’s begin with the Golem. Your golem is your health pool. To win the game, you must reduce your opponent’s Golem to zero health. Golems automatically march towards the center of the battlefield during your first three turns, then deal 3 damage to each other per turn.
Your deck is made up of 25 cards, including one champion, the leader of your army, as well as other Units and Spell Cards. Each card will have a mana cost to use. Your mana goes up by one each turn, beginning with 1 mana on turn one.
To deploy your champion or units to the battlefield, click and drag the card out to your deployment zone, represented by these four blue hexes.
To use the unique skill of a champion or unit, select them while they are deployed, and click on the skill icon shown on the far right of the screen.
To move a champion or unit, select them, then click on any hex tile within the movement zone, displayed in blue. After movement, you can select the orientation, which matters in combat. When attacking a unit from the front 3 hexes, you will take retaliation damage, when attacking from behind, you avoid retaliation.
To attack another unit or your opponent's golem, infantry units must move within one tile of their target. Ranged units can attack in straight lines from a distance. To see if a unit is infantry or ranged, check the bottom left of the card or 3D character.
There are two strategic control points on the battlefield, shown by the 3 flags on the hex tiles. By having a unit placed on a control point, it will pull the enemy Golem toward your deployment zone at the end of your turn.
Building A Deck: You can build your own unique deck in the deck-builder. A deck can include cards from two of the four existing factions, and neutral cards. Each faction has its own unique playstyle based on the lore of Everdawn. You can purchase new cards from the store. The deck builder and store can both be found in the game’s main menu.
Congratulations, you are now ready to become a champion. Collect cards, build your deck, and fight strategically to outthink your opponents and prove your worth as the Champion of Everdawn! Click through to read a more detailed starter guide here.
